1. Scope of Services
Jackson Nationality & Mobility provides genealogy research, historical nationality research, document and evidence strategy, general citizenship-by-descent guidance, mobility research, and application-preparation support. Services may include reviewing family history, identifying potential nationality routes, locating or analyzing historical records, organizing an evidence chain, and explaining practical next steps.
2. No Legal Representation or Guarantee
Jackson Nationality & Mobility is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation unless a separately identified, appropriately authorized professional is expressly engaged for that purpose. Information and research are provided for informational and research-support purposes only.
3. Eligibility and Government Decisions
Citizenship, nationality, residence, visa, passport, and immigration outcomes are controlled by the relevant government authorities. Historical nationality rules can depend on facts such as dates of birth, marriage, legitimacy, residence, naturalization, loss or retention of nationality, military service, gender-specific transmission rules, and changes in law. No result, passport, citizenship certificate, visa, residence permit, or processing time is guaranteed.
4. Client Information and Accuracy
You are responsible for providing accurate information and disclosing facts that may affect the research. Research conclusions may change if new records, contradictory evidence, or previously unknown facts are discovered. You should not knowingly provide false, altered, or misleading records.
5. Pricing, Scope, and Payment
Published prices are starting prices. Before deeper research begins, the expected scope and fee will be confirmed. Initial nationality assessments currently begin at $195, while full research engagements commonly begin at $500. Complex, archival, or multi-country matters may require a custom quote.
6. Refunds and Cancellation
Fees are generally refundable before substantive research begins, less any non-refundable third-party costs already incurred. Once research has begun, fees covering work already performed are non-refundable. If a project is paused or cancelled, any refund will depend on the amount of work completed and expenses incurred. Any different refund terms stated in a written quote or engagement confirmation will control.
7. Third-Party Costs and Records
Government certificates, archival fees, translations, apostilles, courier charges, notarial fees, legal fees, filing fees, and other third-party costs are not included unless expressly stated. Availability, accuracy, and delivery times for records held by governments, archives, genealogy platforms, or other third parties are outside our control.
8. Research Limitations
Historical records may be missing, damaged, contradictory, mistranscribed, misindexed, inaccessible, or unavailable online. A family tree, census entry, index, user-submitted genealogy, or secondary source may be useful as a lead without being sufficient proof for a government application. Research findings should be understood in light of the evidence actually available.
9. Intellectual Property
Original research summaries, case analyses, evidence maps, document strategies, written explanations, compilations, and other materials created by Jackson Nationality & Mobility remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing. You may use deliverables provided to you for your personal or family nationality, citizenship, immigration, or mobility matter.
10. Acceptable Use
You may not use the website or services to submit fraudulent documents, impersonate another person, unlawfully obtain personal records, misrepresent citizenship status, or facilitate unlawful activity. We may decline or terminate work where we reasonably believe information is fraudulent, abusive, unlawful, or materially misleading.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jackson Nationality & Mobility is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or services. Any direct liability relating to a paid engagement will not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where such a limitation is prohibited by law.
12. Website Availability and Third-Party Services
The website may rely on hosting providers, email infrastructure, content-delivery networks, fonts, images, flag assets, PDF libraries, or other third-party services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website or any external service.
